Art & Travel Journals...

Ever since I’ve been a teenager, I’ve used art and travel journals to capture my thoughts, musings, and dreams of what I wanted my life to look like.  For many years, I was a single working gal and would envision how I wanted to decorate my house, or the dream boutique that I wanted to open.  Maybe it was what the love of my life would be like, and the child that I would have someday.   I would cut images from magazines and glue them into a big sketchbook.  Funny enough, these visual journals guided me to reach those dreams.  I continue to use these creative spaces to capture ephemera from daily life, and sometimes to work through a new creative technique.  When I travel, I like to come back from a full day of adventure and capture my thoughts and draw and paint notes about the day.  I encourage everyone to use a journal in whatever way works for them... written, artistic, and more.
