Mini Bloom mono prints are a sweet way to update your space, no matter what size wall you have. PLUS! Art Journal Club is on summer hiatus and will return in September. And... the next open studio is September 12 & 13, oooooh! And did you read my latest blog? It’s up! XO, M.E.
I have been dreaming of doing a floral series! Using a silkscreen technique, each of these mono prints resembles a painting. What I love about it are the random oops and mistakes that can happen along the way that contribute to the perfect imperfections of each.
Recently I spent an afternoon with my husband and came across a garden full of these beautiful Cala Lily blooms in South London. So I did what any super bloom painting artist would do - I took photos, oohed and aahed, and brought the inspiration into the studio. These beauties represent innocence, overwhelming beauty, and overcoming challenges.
One of a kind, hand painted (two layers!) on a silk screen, then printed on Fabriano 300GSM cold press paper. I work out of a screen print studio in East London called The Print Club.
I do my best to capture the true colors of this original, but please note that colors may appear differently on your screen.
Due to the nature of the painting then the screen print process, there may be slight flaws that are part of the charm of an original, hand made mono print.
