I have been dreaming of doing a floral series! Using a silkscreen technique, each of these mono prints resembles a painting. What I love about it are the random oops and mistakes that can happen along the way that contribute to the perfect imperfections of each.
Cherry Blossoms burst onto the scene in mid spring. I love how the blooms cluster together and look like big pink pom poms. These beautiful buds represent renewal - so beautiful. But their beauty is fleeting as they normally don’t last for more than two weeks. Then when the petals start to fall, I love what we call “flower snow” - beautiful pink petals that continue to scatter their joy even after they have adorned the tree branches.
One of a kind, hand painted (two layers!) on a silk screen, then printed on Fabriano 300GSM cold press paper. I work out of a screen print studio in East London called The Print Club.
I do my best to capture the true colors of this print, but please note that colors may appear differently on your screen.
Due to the nature of printing, there may be slight flaws that are part of the charm of an original, hand made mono print.
