Happy Summer! I've been doing this art thing for 10 years now. Woah! Select works are now on sale. Yay! I'm making room for new ideas, etc. Check them out in the section below.

Art Journaling, preserving memories, and my favorite little travel journal - part 4 of 4.

It’s here, it’s here! I got back from my trip to Paris and Morocco early October, and finally have a moment to document the essence of what I experienced on the trip.

I believe in taking photos of the landscape, people, places, and inspiration pieces to capture what I’m seeing during my travels.  By using my art journal, I am able to capture my impressions, inspirations and even what I’m feeling each day.  This is is even more powerful for me.

I used a small journal with thick pages that could absorb watercolor, ink pens, paint pens, and plenty of ephemera and washi tape.  Materials used: torn paper, ephemera, glue stick, washi tape, gel pens, watercolors, magazine images, maps, street posters, business cards, feathers.

Wasn’t that fun?  I’m taking a trip to NYC next month and can’t wait to start a new journal.

XO, M.E.
