I am happy to be reintroducing fashion back to my life, oh I’ve missed you.
The “Nori” kimono is named after the wife of one of my best friends. She’s smart and beautiful and accepts the world with beauty and grace. Many years ago, my friend ventured to Japan. He quickly found Nori, the love of his life and never came back to home. Aaah, now that’s true love!
Anyway, the Nori is what I love to throw on the minute I get home. I take off my clothes, put on the kimono and some fuzzy slippers, and unwind. On vacation, it’s the little must have staple that also serves as a sweet coverup over your favorite bathing suit.
A nod to the traditional kimono, these have an exaggerated (but wearable!) sleeve and a small slit air vent under the arms. I source the 100% african inspired waxed cotton in London and then produce them locally in London. Due to the nature of the fabric, it hangs a bit stiffer at first, and softens up over time. Hand wash or machine wash cold/gentle, drip dry. If ironing is your thing, do it on the reverse size of the print.
Self tie included.
FYI - this turquoise print has touches of metallic gold on the print, oh so sparkly!
One size fits all - (XS - XL)
The design provides ease and comfort and glamour, too for a range of sizes. In the US, we call this a robe or kimono. In the UK, it’s called a dressing gown. Anyway you call it, it’s glamorous and easy and fun!
Laura in these photos is a UK 8/10 and a US 4/6 - small and is 5’6” tall. I easily wear the same style and I’m a UK 16/18 (US 12/14) and also 5’6” tall.
Length (measured from the back neck) - 91 cm / 36"
