Mini Bloom mono prints are a sweet way to update your space, no matter what size wall you have. PLUS! Art Journal Club is on summer hiatus and will return in September. And... the next open studio is September 12 & 13, oooooh! And did you read my latest blog? It’s up! XO, M.E.
I have been dreaming of doing a floral series! Using a silkscreen technique, each of these mono prints resembles a painting. What I love about it are the random oops and mistakes that can happen along the way that contribute to the perfect imperfections of each.
As an American living in London, I am fascinated by the roses that easily bloom throughout the city. I often find myself on my bike and frequently brake to take photos of these beautiful blooms. This version of the rockstar roses is one where I experiment with layers and the idea of the peeling layers of the ephemera on city streets as reflected in the gardens in the city.
One of a kind, hand painted (two layers!) on a silk screen, then printed on Fabriano 300GSM cold press paper. I work out of a screen print studio in East London called The Print Club.
I do my best to capture the true colors of this print, but please note that colors may appear differently on your screen.
Due to the nature of printing, there may be slight flaws that are part of the charm of an original, hand made mono print.
